CLEMENCIA ECHEVERRI (Colombia, 1950)

 

Clemencia Echeverri has an MFA from the Chelsea College of Arts in London. She has taught Visual Arts at the Antioquia and National Universities in Colombia since 1982. Among her exhibitions are: Latin American Cosmovideographies, Heritage Games, CENART Mexico City (2013); Free Version, nomi­nated for the Luis Caballero Prize, Bogotá (2011); Heritage Games, Alonso Garcés Galería, Bogotá (2011); Border/Medellín, MDE11 (2011), and Visions of Memory, Train and Sloth, Galería GAK, Bremen (2011). In 2009, she produced a book about her work titled Sin Respuesta [No Response]. Her work is featured in the collections Daros– Latinamerica and the Museum of Latin American Art in Los Angeles, among others. She lives and works in Bogotá.
