LA HELADERÍA

MWZZANINE-web-2

The space on the first floor of The Edificio Antioquia building will be the scenario for a variety of lively programs which will highlight the artistic and cultural life of Medellín. The venue is in the form of a cafeteria/bar, especially designed for the Salon. The program will include one-off events which may last for several hours, a morning, an evening or a whole day. There will be ongoing activities like concerts of music, performances,  portable art events, video shows, evening presentations of artists´ portfolios, conversations with artists, cultural producers and all kinds of short-lived events.

Our aim is that this venue will be the focal point for activities which enliven the exhibition and keep up an active dialogue with art. It will be a kind of long inauguration, where artists and the public can meet up during the two months-long Salon and at the same time have a snack and converse about art and life. Members of the cultural sector of the city of Medellín have been invited to submit proposals for these programs.
