ARMANDO ANDRADE TUDELA  (Perú, 1975)

 

He studied at the Universidad Católica de Lima, the Royal College of Arts in London and the Jan Van Eyck Akademie in Maastricht. He was a founder member of the artists collective Espacio La Culpable, based in Lima, Peru. Among his recent individual exhibitions are Gold Coast Customs, Carl Freedman Gallery, London (2013); Sombras del Progreso [Shadows of Progress], Elba Benítez Gallery, Madrid (2013); UNSCH/URP, DAAD Gallery, Berlin (2012) and Liquidación, Lima Museum of Art (2012). He belongs to a gen­eration of contemporary artists who question the differentiated developments caused by moder­nity and modernism in Europe and Latin American societies. He lives and works in St. Etienne, France.
